Cookies and local storage
Last updated: October 15, 2026
The short version
- Taskeni doesn't use advertising or tracking cookies.
- The app keeps your sign-in and a few preferences in your browser's local storage, so it works and remembers your choices.
- Our website analytics don't use cookies and don't identify you.
What the app keeps in your browser
- Sign-in tokens. These keep you signed in between visits. They're removed when you sign out, and they stop working when your session ends (after 30 days) or when you use "Sign out everywhere".
- Theme. Whether you chose light, dark, or your system setting, so the app opens in the right theme without a flash.
- The device-link prompt. Inside the iPhone, iPad, and Mac apps, whether you chose "Not now" when asked to link the device, so we don't ask again too soon.
- An offline copy of the app. When you use the app, your browser keeps the app's code and icons so it opens quickly and shows a page when you're offline. This copy doesn't contain your workspace content.
Your other preferences, such as notification settings, are saved to your account, not to your browser, so they follow you between devices.
Analytics
We use Vercel Web Analytics to count page views on our website. It doesn't set cookies, doesn't follow you across other sites, and doesn't collect personal data that identifies you. We only see totals, such as how many people visited a page.
Other sites
When you connect an integration or follow a link to another site, such as Slack or GitHub, that site's own cookie policy applies there.
Managing what's stored
You can clear Taskeni's data from your browser's settings at any time. Clearing it signs you out and resets your theme on that device. Because we only store what the app needs to work and to remember your choices, we don't show a cookie banner.
