Board, List, Table, Calendar, and Timeline on every board
How to move from monday.com to Taskeni
- 01
Recreate your boards
Sign up and add one board for each monday.com board you still use. Turn its status values into lists, its tags into labels, and the columns you rely on into custom fields. Taskeni doesn't connect to monday.com directly, so this part is by hand.
- 02
Invite the team
Invite teammates by email before importing so owners can be matched to assignees. Add clients as guests to the boards they need.
- 03
Bring items over with CSV
Export each board from monday.com to Excel (board menu → More actions → Export board to Excel) and save the table as CSV, then use Import CSV on the matching Taskeni board. Taskeni matches columns by name: Title (or Name or Task), List (or Status), Assignee or Owner, Start date, Due date, Labels (or Tags), Priority, and Description. You see what will be skipped before you confirm.
- 04
Add the tracking
Set estimates, link blocked-by tasks, and turn repeating items into recurring tasks. Open the Timeline to check the next few weeks.
Common questions
Is Taskeni a good monday.com alternative?
For small and mid-size teams that want boards, timelines, time tracking, and dependencies without seat minimums on the free plan, yes. If you need portfolios, resource management, high automation volume, or other monday.com products like CRM, monday.com fits better.
Can I import from monday.com?
Not directly. Export a board to Excel, save it as CSV, and use Import CSV on a Taskeni board. Item names, status, owners, dates, tags, priority, and descriptions can come across when the column names match. Updates, files, and subitems stay in monday.com.
How much does monday.com cost compared to Taskeni?
monday.com Basic is $9, Standard $12, and Pro $19 per seat/month billed yearly, starting at 3 seats, and time tracking and dependencies are on Pro. Taskeni is free for up to 10 members with every view, time tracking, and dependencies. Pro ($6 per member/month billed yearly) adds automations, reports, and client share links, and comes with a 14-day free trial. See pricing.
Can clients see progress without an account?
On Taskeni Pro, anyone who can edit a board can create a read-only share link. Visitors see lists and tasks without signing in, never comments, files, or time logs, and the link can expire or be revoked. See client sharing.
How is AI charged in each?
Both meter AI in credits. monday.com includes credits from Basic and sells more. Taskeni's AI is off until a workspace owner turns it on; Free includes 100 credits per workspace a month, and paid plans add a pooled allowance per member.
