Trash, archive, and restoring

Taskeni gives you two ways to clear things away: archive, which hides something until you need it, and delete, which moves a task to Trash for 30 days.

Restore a deleted task

  1. Go to Settings → Data and scroll to Trash.
  2. Find the task. Each row shows its board, who deleted it and when, and when it will be deleted for good.
  3. Click Restore.

The task comes back with its comments and files. If its list was removed in the meantime, it returns to the board's first list. Right after you delete something, you can also click Undo on the message or press ⌘Z.

Delete a task for good

In Trash, click Delete forever and confirm. The task, its comments, activity, and files are removed and can't be recovered. Owners, admins, and the person who deleted the task can do this.

Restore archived tasks and lists

  1. Open the board and open the board settings menu → Archived items.
  2. Click restore next to a task or list. A restored list brings its tasks back with it.

Restore an archived board

  1. Go to All boards and switch to Archived.
  2. Open the board's menu and choose Restore board.

Good to know

  • Tasks in Trash are deleted for good 30 days after they were removed, with their comments, activity, and files.
  • Trash shows deleted tasks from boards you can see.
  • Archived items aren't deleted. They stay until you restore them.
  • Deleting one occurrence of a recurring task leaves the rest of the schedule unchanged.
  • Deleted workspaces and accounts don't go to Trash and can't be restored.
