Smart search

Smart search finds what you mean, not just what you typed. Searching "reset link lands on sign-in" finds a task called "Password redirect bug".

1. Make sure AI helpers are on for your workspace. See Turn on AI helpers.
2. Press ⌘K (Ctrl+K on Windows), or press / to open the search page.
3. Describe what you're looking for in your own words.
4. Exact word matches come first. Tasks and comments that match by meaning show below them, under Smart results.

Good to know

• Smart search works on every plan and doesn't use AI credits.
• New and edited tasks and comments are added to smart search within a few minutes.
• Turning AI helpers off deletes the stored embeddings for your workspace.
• It uses Google Gemini embeddings to compare meaning.
• While AI helpers are off, search stays keyword-only and nothing is sent to the AI provider.
• Search only covers boards you can open.
