AI credits and allowances

AI use in Taskeni is metered in credits, so you can see what it costs and it never surprises you.

How credits work

A credit follows what each request actually costs the AI provider. A quick helper, like parsing notes into tasks or a short catch-up, uses a fraction of a credit. A long recap, or an assistant request with lots of context, uses several.

Monthly allowances

• Free: 100 credits per workspace each month, as a trial.
• Pro: 300 credits per member each month, pooled across the workspace.
• Business: 1,000 credits per member each month, pooled across the workspace.

Pooled means the whole team shares one total. A 6-person Pro workspace has 1,800 credits a month, whoever uses them. Guests don't add to the pool.

See your usage

1. Go to Settings → This workspace → AI helpers.
2. The bar shows how many credits are used this month and the allowance on your plan, plus any top-up credits left.

When credits run out

AI helpers stop until the allowance renews on the 1st, or until a top-up is added. Everything else in Taskeni keeps working. Top-ups are used after the monthly allowance and never expire. See Top-ups.

Good to know

• Only owners and admins see the numbers. Everyone sees a note when the month's credits are used up.
• Pro and Business include more credits per member, pooled across the workspace. See Upgrading to Pro or Business.
