Lists, task limits, and the completion list
Lists are the columns on a board. Each one can have a task limit, and one list per board can complete tasks automatically.
Manage lists
- Click Add list at the end of the board, or use the board settings menu → Add list.
- Open a list's menu (the … button next to its name) to Rename list, Add task, Move list left, Move list right, or Archive list.
- To reorder by dragging, grab the handle next to the list name.
Set a task limit
- Open the list menu → Set a task limit.
- Enter the Maximum tasks and save. Leave it empty for no limit.
- The list's count shows as "4 / 5". It turns red when the list holds more than the limit, and Taskeni warns you when you move a task into a full list.
Choose the completion list
- Open the list menu → Set as completion list, or the board settings menu → Completion list.
- From then on, moving a task into that list marks it complete, and moving it out reopens it.
Good to know
- New boards use their last list as the completion list.
- When a board has a completion list, a task's Mark complete button moves the task there.
- A task limit is a warning, not a block. Tasks can still be moved in.
- A board always keeps at least one list, so the last list can't be archived.
- Archived lists can be restored from the board settings menu → Archived items. See Trash, archive, and restoring.
- Completed tasks older than 60 days aren't loaded with the board. Click Show older next to the filters to bring them back.
