Getting started
Create your first board
A board holds the lists and tasks for one project, team, or stream of work.
- In the sidebar, click All boards, then New board.
- Enter a Board name.
- Under Start from, pick a template: Blank board, Development sprint, Design workflow, Marketing campaign, or General team project. Each one sets up lists and labels that you can rename later.
- Under Visibility, choose Everyone in the workspace or Only members I add.
- Pick an icon, then click Create board.
Add tasks
- Click Add task under a list, type a title, and press
Enter. The field stays open so you can add the next one. - To add a task with a due date, assignee, or label in one line, click New task at the top of the board or press
Q. See Quick add syntax. - Click any card to open it and fill in the details.
Add and arrange lists
- Click Add list at the end of the board, type a name, and press
Enter. - Drag a list by its handle to move it, or use the list menu → Move list left / Move list right.
- Drag cards between lists as work moves along.
Good to know
- The last list on a new board is its completion list: moving a task there marks it done. You can change this. See Lists, task limits, and the completion list.
- Templates other than Blank board add a few starter tasks you can delete.
- To bring people onto the board, click Invite in the board header. See Invite your team.
- Owners and admins set the default visibility for new boards in Settings → This workspace → Default board visibility.
- To copy a board, open the board settings menu → Duplicate board, then choose Structure only or Include tasks.
- Guests can't create boards.
