Getting started
Find your way around
This is a short tour of where things live in Taskeni, so you can get to any board, task, or setting quickly.
The sidebar
- Home: your dashboard, with the weekly review and (when AI helpers are on) a catch-up of what changed.
- My tasks: everything assigned to you, grouped by when it's due.
- Notifications: assignments, mentions, comments on tasks you follow, and deadlines.
- Team activity: comments, moves, and edits across the workspace, with person and board filters.
- Reports: cycle time, throughput, and the overdue trend (Pro and Business). See Reports.
- Boards: your first few boards, then All boards for the full list, including archived boards.
- Members: the people in the workspace, invitations, and workload.
Click the workspace name at the top of the sidebar to switch workspaces or create a new one. Click the arrow next to the logo to collapse the sidebar.
The top bar
- The search field on the left finds boards and tasks as you type.
- The sparkle button opens Ask Taskeni, the assistant (
⌘J). See Ask Taskeni. - Add a task opens quick add from anywhere.
- The bell opens your notifications. The number shows how many are unread.
- Your picture opens a menu with Account settings, Notification preferences, Workspace settings, Members and invitations, Switch or create a workspace, and Sign out.
Search
- Press
/to open the search page, or type in the search field in the top bar. - Results include boards and tasks by title or key (like
TSK-12), and tasks whose description or comments match. When AI helpers are on, Smart results below them find tasks by meaning. See Smart search. - Click a result to open it.
Good to know
- Search only covers boards you can open. Private boards you aren't a member of never appear.
- On a phone, the main sections move to a bar at the bottom of the screen.
⌘K(Ctrl+Kon Windows) opens the command palette, which searches and runs actions. See Keyboard shortcuts.- You can choose which screen Taskeni opens on in Settings → Account → Working preferences → Open Taskeni on.
